Job Summary
Waterfront Computer Company Inc. is currently seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Sydney, NS. The successful candidate will provide front-line technical support and solutions to our clients, both in-store and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front-line customer service.
- Consult with customers and recommend solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues (Windows, macOS, printers, NAS, firewalls, routers)
- Provide remote, in-person, and onsite support for clients
- Configure and maintain Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, and cloud solutions
- Set up and document network devices, workstations, and applications
- Install and configure hardware for various NAS and backup solutions
- Maintain detailed service records and IT documentation
- Train end-users on basic IT functionality and usage
Qualifications & Experience:
- Web/Software developer applicants will not be considered unless the following criteria are met:
- Post-secondary diploma Bachelors Degree. with focus on I.T.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT support experience.
- Strong knowledge of PC/laptop hardware, networking, OS, and software setup
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Nice to have CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Windows Server Administration
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
- MUST live within 30 minutes of Sydney, NS or be willing to relocate (moving expenses not covered).
