Job Summary

Waterfront Computer Company Inc. is currently seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Sydney, NS. The successful candidate will provide front-line technical support and solutions to our clients, both in-store and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front-line customer service.
  • Consult with customers and recommend solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues (Windows, macOS, printers, NAS, firewalls, routers)
  • Provide remote, in-person, and onsite support for clients
  • Configure and maintain Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, and cloud solutions
  • Set up and document network devices, workstations, and applications
  • Install and configure hardware for various NAS and backup solutions
  • Maintain detailed service records and IT documentation
  • Train end-users on basic IT functionality and usage

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Web/Software developer applicants will not be considered unless the following criteria are met:
  • Post-secondary diploma Bachelors Degree. with focus on I.T.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PC/laptop hardware, networking, OS, and software setup
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Nice to have CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Windows Server Administration
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
  • MUST live within 30 minutes of Sydney, NS or be willing to relocate (moving expenses not covered).
